We love and have pets, but not all our guests feel similarly. So, those who bring an animal need to be sure:

PET POLICY:

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
- If an unavoidable circumstance causes you to cancel BEFORE the reservation start date, you will receive a 90% refund of the total rent if you notify us in print 90 days prior to a rental of a month or longer, and 60 days in advance of check-in for time periods shorter than a month.
- Cancellations any later than this will provide you with a refund of 90% of whatever rent we collect from others for the cancelled time, assuring that the total rent we receive from the new renters is the same amount as you had agreed to pay.
- We suggest you purchase vacation cancellation insurance to protect yourselves. We don’t sell it, but can assist in making recommendations if you want that.

OUR SIMPLE CONTRACT:
- The condition in which we pass our Hilton Head house to you will be the condition in which you return it to us. If there is anything you find not to be right, you need to contact us on arrival by email text or phone with the details so that we are informed from the outset, and have the opportunity to set it right.
- We do not accept grievances days later for matters that were not identified at the start time. This is to protect both parties in this contract.
- Should a mishap or damage occur as a result of your occupancy, we ask for quick notification and your acceptance to set it straight at your cost. Our manager/cleaner evaluates the condition of the house soon after your departure where we then are informed of it, and the security deposit returned on the basis of the condition in which the house has been left by you.
- The house is to be left with a 3 hour cleaning being sufficient to ready it for occupancy. Hours in addition to that are billable at $45 each.
- As stated above, this is a NO SMOKING property including the screened porch or outside porches whose wood absorbs the smell. Absolutely NO smoke residue anywhere please for our subsequent guests and for us.
OUR PET CONTRACT
We love and have pets, but not all our guests feel similarly. So, those who bring an animal need to be sure:
- that no animal is up on furniture, particularly beds,
- that our yard is not used as the pet’s bathroom since there are miles of walking paths and roadways around
- that no pet fur is left behind; so you need to bring brushes etc. to deal with that, and we do have a vacuum and mops,
- that no animal smells remain at the house,
- that the animal has had up to date flea treatments; it would be an utter disaster to bring fleas into the house and the security deposit also would be lost,
- that the no off-leash and animal waste pick up bylaws in HH be observed, tincluding the hours of exception at the beach, and that the animal not bark and disturb neighbors,
- that your pet not be left alone roaming in our house, but instead be contained in our large laundry room,
- our cleaner provides a thorough 3 hour cleaning which will not allow for cleaning up after pets without a surcharge,
- it is advised that no pet be left tied up outside since it is often too warm in HH, plus the nearby lagoon is deep and must be treated with caution
- a steam cleaning charge of $155 is additional, to have the carpeting refreshed for subsequent guests
